Candidate requirements
- A degree in law;
- At least 7 years of experience as a lawyer;
- Experience supporting a business single-handedly as its lead or only lawyer;
- Excellent command of the civil, corporate, labor and procedural law of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Knowledge of the law on personal data, electronic documents, digital assets, licensing and regulation of the IT sector;
- A high level of responsibility, attention to detail and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Contract work: drafting, reviewing and approving contracts, NDAs and other documents, supporting deals, checking counterparties, managing legal risks;
- Litigation and claims: claims and procedural documents, representing the company in courts and government bodies, supporting enforcement proceedings;
- Corporate law and dealings with government bodies: day-to-day support, corporate documents, registration of changes, licenses and permits, state information systems;
- Public procurement: legal support for participation, review of tender documentation and contracts, dispute resolution;
- Compliance and legal support: advice, legal opinions, internal policies and regulations, monitoring of legislation, legal audit;
- IT law, data protection and intellectual property: support for IT and cybersecurity projects, protection of personal data and IP assets, support within Astana Hub.
